Prefer to be in the comfort of your own home? Then Virtual Telehealth Therapy may be right for you as each therapeutic session is conducted on a secure HIPAA compliant platform. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is also offered via Virtual/Telehealth. Check out about ART below. Telehealth is only offered to Minnesota residents at this time. In the near future (2025-2026), Florida & several other states will also be able to use this service with Annikki.
ART is becoming a preferred therapy that alleviates, desensitizes, & may eliminate anything from anxiety to a fear, phobia, or a traumatic event generally quicker than traditional talk therapy alone. Those that have a hard time talking about the trauma find it relieving to use ART, because one doesn’t technically have to say anything about the event if they do not want to.
How does it work? Rapid Eye Movement/Bi-Lateral Stimulation. Annikki uses a hand held device that fits in the palm of both of your hands & vibrates back & forth between the two hands. The speed, intensity, & pause between the vibrations are customary to your preference. This then helps the brain & body process the information we are working through at a rapid speed versus talk therapy alone. Please note, visual imagery/scenes from the trauma will be used as I guide you through the healing, but you do not have to describe them or talk about them if you prefer not to. You are welcome to talk about anything that comes up for you as well. 80 minute sessions is recommended for ART, but not required.
If you prefer for hand movements or a wand to be used instead, please let Annikki know & she can adapt. Virtual sessions are used by an app following a virtual ball on your computer screen.

What is Somatic? Somatic therapy, also known as body psychotherapy or somatic experiencing therapy that focuses on the body & mind-body connection. It's based on the idea that the body stores negative or positive experiences in somatic memory, and aims to help people release stress, trauma, and tension through mind-body techniques. The combination of being in nature, movement, and expressing emotions verbally is a powerful release.
If one feels comfortable, they may also find themselves learning how to center and ground themselves by listening to guided meditations live or voice over from Annikki. Body scanning, grounding techniques, and visual imagery are also incorporated. Somatic, meditation, & mindfulness are used interchangeably with your personal preference session.
