Annikki's Story

6.5 years ago, Annikki (on-a-key) was an energetic, active, & creative healthcare provider. Things changed in 2019, when she survived 3 large strokes & several mini-strokes from a chiropractic adjustment. She re-relearned how to walk and talk, eat and drive, essentially learn how to live all over again. After 7 months, the artery healed & she was off blood thinners, with the main focus on body & brain cognitive/neurological healing. After 5 years of debilitating continued efforts to simply 'be' in her new brain & body all while attempting to work in mainstream systems that she was used to such as hospitals & non-profits, she finally decided to create her own business that accommodated for her invisible disabilities that were not able to be accommodated anywhere else. 

She was finally getting back on her feet starting her own business, when in late 2024, she was hit with the deadly, life-altering effects & isolation of Lyme Disease, Babesia, Bartonella, Tick Borne Relapsing Fever, & Ehrlichiosis all from one tiny mustard/poppy sized seed tick that bit her. Neurologically, Lyme & the co-infections have a much larger compounding tragedy because of the strokes. (With tick/vector borne illnesses, they attack the weakest part of the body first). This is making it so much more difficult for Annikki to reclaim her health which is resulting in her literally fighting for her life!

Annikki has always focused on helping her family, friends, & community personally & professionally. Now, she would appreciate your help, as she strives to recover from the devastating effects of Lyme Disease & the deadly co-infections listed above.  Seeing countless doctors from western, eastern, functional, & integrative medicine with no true gain; unfortunately, Annikki continues to decline. The doctors are gravely worried not sure how much longer her body & brain would be able to keep going at this rate as all attempts to heal her seemed to only make her much worse. Despite seeing every specialist for the tick bite in MN & consultations with specialists around the country in the U.S., (even 2 months at Mayo), many providers do not know how to help Annikki as her case is “very complex” and “unheard of”. Despite 4-5 months of being on heavy antibiotics & attempts of other medicines & healing modalities, the antibiotics & medicine have wreaked havoc on her body in addition to the diseases. 

This has caused sudden & continual deterioration, including but not limited to: Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, POTS, 2 hernias, kidney calcification, stomach infection, fainting spells, tachycardia, blood clotting/coagulation, mini strokes, extreme brain fog (more like Alzheimer's and dementia), eye sight decline, black floaters in the eyes, extreme weakness and fatigue and fainting spells. In addition, she has lost 65 lbs. (55lbs in 3mths) significant loss of muscle mass, significant loss of neurological function, has lost 90% of her hair, brain and face numbness, neuropathy, Hashimoto Disease, heavy metal toxicity, irregular vitamin absorption and vitamin and mineral toxicity, extreme inflammation especially in the brain, lymphatic issues, extreme detox issues, detox pathways heavily blocked, bones breaking easily, skin not absorbing moisture, her fingerprints on her fingertips are literally ripping and breaking apart, Band-Aids coming off ripping many layers of skin, dizziness, balance issues, concussions, extreme food and chemical allergies, cannot lift more than 10 lbs., and so much more.

Annikki has spent over $85,000 to keep herself alive and continues to struggle; as mentioned docs & Annikki weren't sure if each day was literally going to be her last, one doctor stepped forward boldly and shared that she feels Annikki traveling to India for a treatment called, Panchakarma may just be the winning ticket to save her life.  She was stunned, shocked,  and had no idea how she would make this happen with no strength, no mental functionality, and certainly no money left to her name. But her will is strong, so she prevailed. 

After additional research seeking options in the U.S. and India for Panchakarma, Annikki found the right hospital offering this amazing ancient healing treatment. She believed she found the right place after a few video consultations with the wonderful souls (including the doctor), at this hospital. She knew that they had the knowledge, heart, and spirit to help her heal. With the the support of her community financially, they made it possible!  The journey was not easy at all. Wheelchair bound, she flew across the world by herself. But when you don't have any other chance at life and have done everything you can, you listen to your heart and soul and go. So, she went! She stayed at an Indian Ayurvedic Hospital for 2 months and got about 20% better, which is absolutely huge! One of the many beautiful things about this life saving opportunity is that her stay is 100% tailored to her individual constitution and energetics. Ayurveda is a holistic approach that integrates mind, body, and soul as one unit, as opposed to western medicine which treats the body as parts. It costs about $200 USD per day there everything included. 24/7 care in a safe nature friendly environment with patients from all around the world and locals, with the best docs in India. At the hospital it included organic fresh homemade meals, tailored all day medicine from 800 herbs tailored to her ever changing needs even to the hour,  treatments 1-2x/day, her own room and bathroom, Satsungs (educational teachings on Ayurvedic health), teaching how to cook, prayer (if she so chose to do so), meditation (if she so chose to do so), community, and so so much more!  Her U.S. Doctors are so proud of her and share with her how Annikki is such an inspiration as so many people had given up (taken their own life) at all the different stages Annikki hit.  They fully supported her decision for Panchakarma treatment and believe Annikki is, "doing the right thing", because quite frankly no one else knew what to do. 

As mentioned, Annikki was there for 2 months and came back home with 3 months worth of medicine because her body was too weak to continue treatments in India. Plus, with Panchakarma, the treatments are really only 21-29 days. She needs to head back for more treatment in May and November as she is no where near out of the weeds yet. She has more life in her than she has in a long time. She can be out in society again and finally have normal conversations with people. The food allergies are still extremely bad, but at least she can have herbs in her food again for flavor. There are so many issues she still has, but this message will not even begin to cover it. She still is teetering life as the fluctuation of hot and cold and freezing temps in MN are causing her arteries and valves in her brain and body (especially the brain) to cause serious health issues and causing mini strokes again. She has had to go to Florida to give her body relief especially after the mini strokes again and her fingerprints and toes were ripping apart again. 

Every three months she is able to go back to India for more treatment so long as her body is in an okay condition to receive more. We have to keep her protected. As her Ayurvedic Indian Doc says, "Annikki you are like a glass jar, while everyone else is a rock, we have to be very careful with you". 

“I am not afraid of going back India for this treatment. I am very afraid of what will happen if I don’t." Annikki needs your financial support because her life depends on it. She needs the flights and hospital stays paid for and she is quite in debt from all of the misfortunes from the past 1.5 years.  An analogous protocol in the U.S. would cost anywhere from $3,000-$5,000+ per day and is no where near the level of care she receives in India. Plus she has built trust and rapport with them and feels like soul family out there; they're truly incredible souls.  Your financial contribution will help Annikki continue her life saving treatment and will assist in the financial struggles that the illness caused this past year.

Annikki knows that God and the Universe will prevail and her community will come together and help support her on this journey. Annikki will blog updates from India as treatments progress. There may be more dark days than bright days at times, but it is in the dark that we meet our shadow and heal from the inside out. I believe I can heal. I believe you can overcome this as well.”

Annikki is very thankful to not only her amazing friends and family, but also her team of healthcare providers in the US, but would like to share her deepest gratitude to her docs, nurses, CFSS/CPA workers, physical and occupational therapists, massage therapists, and mental health therapists as they have been the founding supports helping her on a weekly basis. Without them, Annikki might not be here today.

A direct message from Annikki, "Thank you for everyone that financially supported me in going to the Ayurvedic Hospital in India as it truly saved my life! I am happy to say that I am about 20% better; which is huge! However, there are so many toxins & diseases in my body from the tick bite and the strokes, that I need to continue the care in increments. Otherwise, if we do too much treatment all at once it will cause much harm to me and make me even sicker (herxheimer reaction). On average, it is $200 per day for my care at the hospital and it will be 1 month of treatment that costs about $6,000 per month. Please allow me to explain the care plan: After the 1 month of treatment in India, I come back home to MN to heal and continue to take 3 months worth of medicine they provide me with along with all the other care plan directives. After 2 months of at home medicine, I then follow up with the doctor virtually to ensure my body is ready to undergo another round of treatment. If it is, then I head back that following month. This continues until I am healed with longer periods of time between each hospital stay. Eventually, once healed, I will go back annually for upkeep.
